CULTIC CHURCHES

Today we will be discussing CULTIC church environments.  Often times, when we think of cults we think of Jim Jones, or Waco Texas and other extremes.  But while many churches are not CULTS, they can exhibit cult-like power on their congregants. So what does this look like? Does the pastor have excessive power over the lives of the people?  Are you discouraged from mingling with those outside your church.  Are you forced to conform to the leaders wishes, regardless of whether it's biblically sound? You may be surprised to find that many churches may have a cult-like environment.
