"Desmond Thorsson is a former radio and television personality, having hosted programs on USA Network, the Sci-Fi Channel, and some of the original broadcasts of CNET (now part of CBS Interactive) under the name 'Desmond Crisis'. He is running for California’s 12th Congressional District seat - currently held by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi - as an independent.
Desmond's campaign is centered around the cause for campaign finance reform, as well as a pragmatic approach to politics designed to break the partisan stranglehold on our nation's capitol."
