Stuart Gourd may have come up short in a Texas Democratic primary for Congress, but he stands tall for what is right. He has a keen and vital perspective on the way things are in the Texas democracy. Some (fools) may say that Mr. Gourd is not worthy of a conversation on a radio show, but this show host says that this attorney has quite a bit to say...
...and we'll let him!
Our second scheduled guest is Cara Prior, who is running for state House in Arizona.
With immigration reform a national topic and governor of her state who makes state business a national discussion most any day, Ms. Prior is running to change the tone of the conversation. She is running for the good of all the people...not an ideology. Her husband is running for AZ Senate too. Sounds like a deal!
Our third guest will be giving a voice to someone who lost hers.
Anna Brown was a working mother trying to pay her bills, as well as feed and clothe her kids. She became homeless after devastating tornadoes ripped through her home area in Missouri in 2010.
In September 2011, she found herself being "forced to leave" a hospital because she could not pay. She refused to leave and died on the floor of her jail cell.
Please tune in to hear the tragedy of the failure of our nation for this young woman. It could happen to any of us.
There is hope, though. Anna's story can save lives...if we listen.
Let's get the conversation going...
