Dawn Little is the founder of Links to Literacy. She holds a Masters Degree in Education with an emphasis on curriculum and instruction, and literacy. As a former elementary classroom teacher, mentor teacher, model teacher, and teacher leader, Dawn worked with diverse populations and communities. Currently, she is a freelance writer for The Education Center and the Montgomery County Early Childhood Education Examiner. In addition, her first book titled, Teaching Comprehension with Nonfiction Read Alouds: 12 Lessons for Using Newspapers, Magazines, and Other Nonfiction Texts to Build Key Comprehension Skills was published by Scholastic Teaching Professional Resources in 2010. Dawn has presented on literacy topics regionally and nationally. In 2005 and 2006, she was nominated for Who's Who Among American Teachers. Dawn is the mother of two children, ages 7 and 4.
