12Noon Guest Peter Canova’s new book, POPE ANNALISA, has won both the Nautilus and the Independent Publishers Book Awards for fiction. The book swept the prestigious Nautilus Book Awards winning two Silver Medals and one Gold Medal in two different fiction categories. It has also taken another medal in the Independent Publishers Book Award. From the SECOND SATURDAY MAGAZINE archives at 12:30PM Rabbi Benjamin Blech discusses the controversial book THE SISTINE SECRETS: MICHELANGELO'S FORBIDDEN MESSAGES IN THE HEART OF THE VATICAN. Co-written with vatican historian Roy Doliner, my guest Rabbi Blech expalins that Michelangelo was pointedly nudging the church to be kinder to Jews. In Florence, where he was raised, the young Michelangelo grew up in the household of the great Renaissance leader Lorenzo de Medici. It was here, the authors believe, that the artist would have been exposed to Judaism and its teachings.
