Retirement publications flood all age levels; the hype is unbelievable. It makes the “retirement” era scarier than it needs to be. It should be called the “advanced contribution” phase. Starting over again during one’s golden years is not a golden gift. It is a work, social, and economic challenge unlike any other they have experienced. No longer are there parents to be dependent upon. What they have saved is what they have, and now they are being pushed into starting a new life again.
