As we continue our study of the books of First and Second Corinthians, let's not forget the context of Paul's letters to them. There were allot of moral, ethical and even leadership issues that challenged the church's continued survival. This church was established in the port-city of Corinth, making it a very wealthy commercial center throughout the region of the Mediterranean. As a result of their geographic location, Corinth became a very important commercial city, with many immoral distractions.  The vice industry arose within Corinth. Vices such as prostitution, political corruption, alcoholism and the breakdown of the family unit led to the creation of a city that was noted for everything sinful.

This evening we will be addressing moral disorders in the Church, as noted i 1 Corinthians 5:1 through 6:20.
