Often when we hear people speak of the “black-man, it is in the context of an adjective with descriptive allusions to his complexion and physical features.  However there is a greater social context to the persona of a BLACKMAN! As a noun - the latter refers to a grown male human of Afro decent in America, with universal rights, sub-cultural and ethnic identity.  Historically, for the social group in America, who were first identified as Negroes, there have been many changes to their classification and positioning in this country as a citizen. The voyage from Negro to BLACKMAN has been turbulent at best. Today there remains confusion among African Americans about the proper classification of their social identity in America.

Join TALK-STRAIGHT host, Rev. Dr. Rueben Dockery as he share a perspective on how to love a BLACK MAN. The hope is to improve his relationship with his female counterpart, society as a whole and himself.
