Beyond Winning - Our own Coaches of the Year

We begin Season Two of Beyond Winning with a program that brings us great pride and excitement. Our main guest coaches were named as the Charlotte Observer Coaches of the Year in Mecklenburg County. Coach Clarence (CJ) Johnson of Mallard Creek was named Coach of the Year for Women's Basketball and Coach Joe Badgett of Carmel Christian was named Charlotte Observer Coach of the Year for Men's Basketball. We must include their longtime Assistant Coaches, Coach Kerry (SYNC) Sargent of Mallard Creek and Coach Donald Kirby of Carmel Christian. We were very fortunate to get these legions in a new location at the Y3 WorkBar in Gastonia, North Carolina. In addition, Carmel Christian won the State Championship for Independent schools. Both Coaches had players named to the first team as All Mecklenburg County.  This show represents the best of our Coaches that are having success on the court but more importantly with many young people.
