Trust God, Clean the Garage, and Help Others Women In Recovery our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics achieve sobriety". Char came to Hurricane several weeks ago to host the Been There Done That Show www.beentheredonethatshow.com. The topic for the show was to discuss the VOA Homeless Outreach Program in SLC, which Char heads up. Marsha brought Char out to her womens sober living home to show off the house which is due to open August 1, 2013. The problem the Home and the Garage was in need of some cleaning out. There was a vast amount of STUFF left over from the previous owner, it was over whelming just to look at. Well Char in all of her wisdom said, "Marsha you do not have to do this by yourself. How about I do what I can to come back down with some women from SLC and help you clean this place out." I just about fell over, it was just what I needed I said, "Asking for Help is a part of what we learn to do to stay sober. I guess it can apply to needing help with projects that are overwhelming also. I am so thankful for the help that is coming my way." As a treat I thought it would be great to have the show topic on 6-29-13 be about how we use service work to support our sobriety.
