Who makes up your family??

Once upon a time family consisted of a mother,father,siblings,aunts,cousins,grandparents and distant in-laws. Today the family may consists of various people,since today we have multiple people involved in the process we call family. Many women today are not aware who the father of their children are. Many have multiple children with different men How do you begin to incorporate multiple family structure? or is family as we know it a thing of the past?
