"Where there is no vision, the people perish."
Black Afrikan nationalists and Afrikan Centered Progressives are constantly talking about Land, Infrastructure, Nationhood, and an independent nation state, but...what type of nation do they envision and what is their political ideology?
Political ideologies are defined as "an integrated set of political ideas about what constitutes the most equitable and just political [and economic] order. Political ideologies are concerned with the proper function of govt, the issues of liberty and equality, and the distribution of goods and services.” Whether or not they realize it, most people possess a definitive political ideology.
So, the question is...when you think of a nation state for descendants of the Trans-Atlantic slave trade, scattered across the diaspora and living as 2nd and 3rd class citizens in foreign lands, what socio-economic and political context do you see in your mind's eye? What way of life do you envision, not only for yourself but, for future generations of Black Afrikan people?
Join us tonight and share your vision!
