Marcus jones grew up on the south side street of Chicago, Il. The street life led him to being shot four times and ultimately put him in a wheelchair. He stayed at the Northwestern hospital for about two weeks and the doctor told him he would never be able to walk again. After the two weeks, he was transferred to Cook County hospital where he stayed for about a month. After the hospital, he was transferred to the Cook County Jail for two and a half years. From the Cook County jail, he was sent to the Dixon Correctional Facility and finished the remainder of his 10 year prison sentence. In October 1999, he was released from the Dixon Correctional Facility. He knew he had to do something with his life for he did not want his life to go to waste. The summer of 2000, he enrolled at the Olive-Harvey City College. While educating mhisself, it opened his mind and eyes to many ideas. He felt he was on the road to being a success. In 2004, he start writing his autobiography, Everyone has a story…This is mine. The book was finished in the summer of 2007 and he self published the book in January 2008. He is very passionate about life and educating others through his experiences and knowledge.
