Dr. Owen Stanley Surman, author of “THE WRONG SIDE OF ILLNESS: A Doctor’s Love Story”
In his line of work, Dr. Surman most certainly can understand the notion of tragedy and misfortune. When adversity personally came his way, through the loss of his wife, he reflected his views and personal thoughts in a memoir, which took about six years to complete. That memoir is now the novel “THE WRONG SIDE OF ILLNESS: A Doctor’s Love Story”, which explains how a psychiatrist had his life turned upside down by physical signs of his wife's silent illness, and the journey they encountered fighting with ovarian cancer.
