Ms. Christensen recently retired from the Defense Logistics Agency as the National Manager for foreign military sales and has performed fifty years of federal service. Mrs. Christensen started as a general service civilian, and as she worked her way to the top, she personally developed technologies and the first deployment concept.

In 1955, a recommendation was made that a separate and completely civilian-managed agency be created with the Defense Department to administer all military common supply and service activities. In support of the recommendation, teams were then created known as DCST (Defense Contingency Support Team). Mrs. Christensen hired drill instructors from Providence, Rhode Island, to lead these teams and currently, there are teams located in Kuwait, Afghanistan and Iraq.
