Short bio about Joe DaVerbal Minddancer:

I am Joe DaVerbal Minddancer. I've always had a way with words just never thought about writing them down. The arts were and still are my passion. So why now, why do I write poetry. I was a bit shy in my youth and very quiet, not one to express my thoughts. Being able to "Rap" (as we called it) was key. My natural shyness had me at a disadvantage. I would sit for hours browsing the world book encyclopedia searching for nothing, seieing everything. The birth of eclectic thinking. My speech was filled with one liners blessed with a quick wit and an eye for detail I used my verbal prowess to conquer love. Yet writing, never took the forefront. I found my way onlne in 2005, years after many before me and 5 years after that I wrote my first poem online.

Short bio about Brett Riplak:

Riplak is an emcee based out of Iowa. The meaning of the name is Rest In Peace Lynn Ann Kremer, in memory of his mother who passed away when he was 12. Lynn's life was taken by her best friend's 22, in cold blood. Riplak was very close to her. After she passed his friends left as well. Family was there but he still felt alone at this time. He began writing to deal with what was trapped in his head. The violent thoughts would come out on paper in attempts to stop himself from acting them out. He began singing/screaming in hardcore bands in high school. The bands never seemed to stay together.

The years went by and Riplak began meeting many people all over the U.S. Travelling to do shows almost every weekend. Making an impact on people with his personal rhymes. Music is the number one love of his life and it shows.
