Welcome Authoress Bisi as my guest speaker.  I cannot wait to have her. Her interview will bring wisdom and insight as to why this book can reach so many hearts of children. Ms. Bisi Adjapon’s writings have appeared in journals and newspapers including the Washington Times, Mcsweeney’s Quarterly and Chicken Bones.  Her short story, Of Women and Frogs, was nominated for the Caine Prize for African literature.  As an International Affairs Specialist for the U.S. Foreign Agricultural Service, she won the 2004 Civil Rights Award for Human Relations. She currently teaches French to middle-schoolers in Virginia.  In fair weather, she can be spotted whacking away on the tennis court or reading under a tree.
