This fall she was selected as the “Woman Making a Powerful Difference through Song”contest winner. Conclusively, Jet Magazine featured Amanda and her performance in their February 2nd, 2009 edition. In January 2009, Amanda Hunt was asked to appear on WGN?s Midday news segment where she was interviewed and praised for showcasing graceful vocal skills and a charming persona. Ms. Hunt is a partner with World Vision, Apostolic Church of God and other community focused organizations that assist in the spiritual, psychological and social development of today?s youth. Additional milestones include graduating Magna cum laude in Human/Legal Communication from Howard University, being a correspondent with the NBC5 Street Team, and owner of a downtown Chicago brokerage firm. Despite a full life Amanda admits, “I?m happiest when I?m singing”, and although her entire life has involved her shining in spirituals, opera and other genres, she concludes, “I am most proud of my gospel roots.”
