Steve Baker was born in 1949 and raised in . He graduated from the  with a BA in Political Science. Soon after graduating, Steve met and married Peggy Belanger. Steve started his sales career working for high-tech medical manufacturers. 

Lupe Juarez is an FIU graduate student seeking her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is the president of the Women's Studies Student Association (WSSA).
