Two African American Authors, Dr. Jamal Rasheed and Dr. Obari Cartman, discuss the evolving attitudes toward marriage and family among Black men. Are men even being socialized to consider marriage a natural part of adulthood? Or are the high divorce rates and out of wedlock births making it more common to simply be a "baby daddy" rather than a husband? In our first hour, Dr. Jamal Shahid discusses his books Broader Perspectives in Educating All of Us, Positive Solutions To Improve Our Lives, and It's Mandatory to Identify and Kick Slave Habits. Dr. Cartman joins us in our second hour to discuss his book, Lady's Man: Conversations For Young Black Men About Relationships and Manhood.
