This week's show: Environmentalism: This time, It's Personal, centers around the concept of personal environmentalism. How individuals can take small (and large) steps to care for the environment for future generations. Our humble hosts, David Marks and Peter van Geldern, will ask Karen and Greg, our Birkenstock-wearing guests, how they manage to keep it green day-in and day-out in such a coal-burnin', Hummer-lovin', mountaintop-blastin', shotgun-carryin', oil-surfin', gas-guzzlin', Obama-Yo'mama-Bush-Rocked! country. These guys are serious! Forget the tree-hugger labels, they even have polar bear and penguin friends that show 'em how to keep warm in the winter. So don't even go there, OK? Guest Speakers: Karen Nathan: Karen is the owner and founder of Olivine™, a company dedicated to taking the guesswork out of embarking on a green lifestyle and buying green consumer goods. The company organizes Green Gatherings™ as a unique opportunity to learn about eco-friendly product options and simple, inexpensive things each of us can do to protect our planet every day. It's all about taking steps toward living green for Karen Nathan and her growing network of eco-consultants. Karen has taught classes in green living, has made presentations at conferences and local events, and has served as a consultant to other green businesses. Greg Berry: CXO of the Business Catapult. Greg has a 20 year career in using media and IT to transform communities. He has been a media entrepreneur since his late teens, and has held many different roles at a series of start-ups and entrepreneurial media companies, including founder, CEO and President, editor, advisor, consultant, angel investor and creative director. In all of these capacities, Greg has been party to 9 startups during his career. He is cross-network connector, with relationships that span traditional social networks.
