Ok let's go, folks!  Why not delve into a nerd colloqiuim before your Mother's day festivities?  Check out the latest installment of Afronerd Radio's Grindhouse podcast, airing Saturdays at 7:30pm ET.  Listen to your favorite podcast Dark Matter crew (the "uncanny" Daryll B., Claire Lanay, Capt. Kirk and Dburt) discuss the following topics: word has it that Facebook is entering into the original programming/TV streaming business hoping to compete with the likes of Netflix and Amazon; our thoughts about why and how a fair share of diversity themed shows were cancelled this season (i.e. Rosewood, Sleepy Hollow, Pitch, Powerless, etc); in whitewashing news, it appears that Hollwood execs have moved from fictional (White) racebending to the historical with a White casting choice for the forthcoming film, Ni'ihau; actor/musician, Donald Glover (Atlanta) is producing a Deadpool animated series for FX; the Blastr (SyfyWire) site highlights 13 comic book TV series that are currently in development; a rated Hellboy reboot has been announced without Guillermo Del Toro or Ron Perlman's involvement; more Guardians of the Galaxy vol.2 talk with spoliers since Dburt has seen the film twice;  and speak about uncancelling! Timeless reverses course and gets a second season after fan outcry; more on Agents of SHIELD and it season five renewal;  actor Zachary Levi (Chuck, Thor) annouced that his Alt-Con event (alternative to San Diego's Comic Con) was cancelled and one has to wonder can we see the need for such a thing in th ewake of NYCC?;  and just what did Ma Kent (actress, Dian Lane) mean when asked the inevitable Avengers vs JLA question?; And lastly, our thoughts about even more X-men TV, with the recent The Gifted mutant trailer hitting the net.  Call in LIVE at 646-915-9620.
