Kara Willis, Director of Development with the University of Rio Grande, Rio Grande Community College will be featured on BUSINESS TALK, February 4, 2015 at 1:00 pm

Kara Willis is the Director of Development, Institutional Advancement at the University of Rio Grande which is dedicated to advancing the mission by supporting higher education and cultivating relationships that result in continuing goodwill and financial support from alumni, friends, organizations, and community.

The Office of Institutional Advancement is responsible for planning and directing Alumni Affairs, Annual Giving, Corporate and Foundation Relations, Planned Giving and Major Gifts.  The mission of Institutional Advancement is to increase and heighten the image and visibility of the University of Rio Grande by carrying out broad-based fund-raising initiatives.

The purpose of the Office of Institutional Advancement is to articulate, facilitate and encourage financial and other support for the maintenance and enhancement of the University’s capacity to fulfill its mission of teaching research and public service.  It also means non-financial assistance in the wider sense of an active understanding and appreciation of and support for the University’s tripartite mission.
