Today's special 30 minute segment will be centered around the ramifications and psychological effects parents face whose children are incarcerated and a victimizer.  Society often focuses on the pain and loss of the victim's family and forgetting or not recognizing the pain and loss of the victimizer's parents and family as well.

We will answer questions like, how does the parent cope? How do you face your friends and family? Should you as the parent be ashamed or blame yourself?  Should you distance yourself from your child when you know he or she was guilty? If you can't call in with your questions you can feel free to email them to mothersbrokenheart@gmail.com and we will try to answer as many questions as possible on the air.

You won't want to miss this viveting segment. I will be sharing a portion of my story and the emotions I have been dealing with since my son was sentenced to 25 years in prison for aggravated manslaughter and discuss how I am managing to get through these still very difficult times.  If you know anyone who is the parent of a victimizer and is doing time, please have them call in the show and share how they are coping as the parent of a vicitmizer.
