"Not if you fall, but when you fall"   James

The bible says we all fall short of the Glory of God

1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting 2 My brethren, count it all joy ( to have a positive outlook) when ye fall into divers temptations.

James makes the statement that when you fall, not if you fall.  This life will have divers (which means many) temptations (which is a form of testing) whether from the world and Satan the greater tempter, concerning the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life. Or whether caused by you, by leading to your own understanding, during whatever seem right in your own eyes or doing things your way your will not God will.  There are even times by God, never tempting but testing, using your pain for your gain. A good thing to know is that God does not tempt us. This may come as a shock to many people but God does not trick, tempt or give us opportunities to sin. This is contrary to His nature. There is enough temptation in this world to go around without God. Evil is doing what evil does.  It's not what you go through, but who you go through it with.
