with Tea Silvestre of Prosperity’s Kitchen
Join us on this special day of 12-12-12 as online business coach Tea Silvestre gives us insight into the creation of Prosperity’s Kitchen which launches in January of 2012. As a business coach who teaches entrepreneurs how to market themselves in the digital world, Tea knew that getting her online students to implement was crucial to their success. But more often than not, she saw them drift off and rarely take action — mainly because they didn’t have enough “skin in the game,” or, they hadn’t made a sizable enough investment in the course. (We know that the more money a student pays for a class, the more likely they are to follow through with all of the assignments.)
Then she attended a conference that covered the topic of “gamification.” A light bulb went off and she immediately saw how these techniques might work in her own classes. Thirty days later, Prosperity’s Kitchen was born — an online class modeled after reality TV shows like “Hell’s Kitchen” or “Biggest Loser” — and with it, a way to keep the education accessible to all, while encouraging follow through and implementation. We are delighted to share Tea’s insights and behind the scenes discoveries in bringing the “kitchen” to life!
