After the #Civilwar America did pay reparations....to it's slave owners. What Black people got was poverty, punishment, and pitiful housing. The vast plush land these former slaves once tilled they were now shut out of and forced to live in uncomfortably close quarters in American cities. Imagine... If the people who should have been compensated for slavery...the actual slaves...were paid? Imagine now if the acres of lush land, currently being occupied by former slave owning families and allies was instead assigned to the slaves who made them valuable? How would the world be different?
