The Haitians did a ritual which empowered themselves, and by many accounts, gave them supernatural abilities. It was after this ritual they were victorious against French colonial rule and fought off many other tyrants to become the first modern Black nation to rise up successfully from enslavement. Right now the American government has an unpaid #trillion dollar debt to the descendants of slaves.
