Monique Royal is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, and is a current resident of Houston, Texas by way of Hurricane Katrina.  She holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Psychology, Masters of Arts Degree in Education, and is a certified Educational Diagnostician.  By day she serves as a superhero to students with special needs, and by night she is the founder of the New Orleans Natural Hair Expo and Decatur Twisted the digital companion magazine. Monique enjoys spending time with her growing family, shopping, and of course being an entrepreneur.
