The unpleasant but popular rhetoric of the day is that women, especially black women, should lower their standards when it comes to dating and marriage. When told that one is average despite her achievements, based on looks, then it undermines the character of the man, in this host's opinion, not so much the status or quality of the woman. In this episode, we'll discuss the importance of a woman having HIGH standards, the need for a woman to see herself as the prize, and the many men who have found a need to build entire platforms around shaming and devaluing women.
