"We can't have war between Black men and Black Women, because no one can be free if one half of the mind of the people is tied up in conflict. It's going to have to be both of us or none of us."

Dr. John Henrik Clarke

On today's MiddleMen Talk Show, the topic of the day is "Unity between the Black Man and Black  Woman: The time is now!" What standards should we have as black men and women to work as a collective unit? How much value do we put on the relationships we have with others? What are the ways we can strengthen our relationships as people? (Relationships around family members, peers, colleagues, friends, etc.) What can we do to improve the “trust” towards one another ensuring we will do right by each other? (Ex. No backstabbing, actions of jealously, etc.) Should we as black people demand more positive images of the Black unit (Man and Woman) in media? and how can we achieve this? How can we change the perception of Black women feeling unprotected by Black men in today's hostile climate toward Black women?

We all know the statistically black men and women make less than our white counterparts, but how can we ensure the finances we do have really generate wealth? Joint bank accounts, separate, or both? (Before and after married) What steps do we need to take to show the next generation that a relationship between a Black man and Woman is a worth maintaining for a healthy community?
