Chana Marie Kurtz, aka Chana “The Changer,” is a champion of authenticity and transparency, like no other.  As Founder and President of the J2SL EmpowermentGroup, Chana is a woman of purpose, prowess and promise.  Subscribing to the Chinese philosopher, Lao-Tzu’s quote, “the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” In 2009, she decided to undergo elective weight loss surgery to make that intentional and precisefirst step on her “Journey to Self Love”.  Defying countless adversities and overcoming a plethora of obstacles, she is determined to share her story.

Educated in the Grand Rapids, Michigan, public schools, Chana matriculated to Eastern Michigan and Clayton State Universities where she studied early childhood education and nursing respectively.  She is on the management team at ALL(n)1 Security Services, Inc.Mary H. Parker, her mother, and leading Atlanta business professional in her own right, heads up this agency that is the nation’s leading double-minority security firm.  Chana currently resides in Houston, Texaswith her three daughters Amber, Essence and Jada.
