Why must I be like that why must I chase the cat? Is it really nothing but the dog in me?

God willing, The Brother Marcus Internet Radio and Television Show will return this week with stimulating dialogue as we begin to really discuss why we are so generally trifling as men and specifically black men. This week we intend to discuss why so many black men have become so degenerate and filthy in our thinking and actions towards our black women? What is it about living in this kind of world that strips the very desire out of a man for a righteous or a decent woman? Are black men who desire to be bachelors in 2010 in the face of so many eligible black women really just “selfish, uncommitted man whores?” Why do some men perceive the only value that a woman has for them to be her ability to give him pleasure? What does God think about the way men treat our women? Can God trust men with women anymore? Are our own daughters safe with men in this day and time? Why won’t we let our little girls grow up in peace? Must we hit on every female that is moving in our community? Is it really nothing but the dog in men? Shouldn't we accept some responsibility for the mess our community is in or do we all, secretly wish like Lil Wanye sang, “That we could have sex with every girl in the world?” Why aren’t we, as men, infuriated over the degrading, demonic, Satanic, and misogynistically laced Hip Hop and R and B lyrics that we hear on the Radio and see on these videos every single day and every single hour? Does our deafening silence on most of these issues truly reveal a collective bankrupt character?
