Yes, she's holding down a job, paying her bills, doing for herself. She's dating a man....should he give her money?  Think before you answer. Is she now cooking for two? Does her hair have to be done more often because he's sweating it out? Is she constantly changing the sheets because they're getting it in all the time? Etc etc....
