There is much confusion and misunderstanding about teen obesity which is being called an epidemic explained Jim Hershey, founder of the soon to be opened GEM Academy in Arizona to Lon January 11, 2017. Jim continued that the cause of teen obesity is a mix of genetic and behavioral elements and to combat it requires knowledge by parents and children of nutrition and lifestyle influences on weight. He also explained why interventions people often use to treat for binge eating and using stomach surgery has the possibilities of both physical and emotional damage.
