A Few Things and All That (non?)-Jazz

Could it be that jazz, America's original art form, be in a serious decline?  Or is it merely transitioning to something sounding less like the various forms of jazz  that have evolved through the decades yet still could be unquestionally identified as jazz?  Your host, "The Voice", ponders that as he notes that one of his favorite jazz festivals sounds less and less like jazz each year while still being a great time.   Of course he has other obsevations an d viewpoints on other topics as well, like the N YPD  "Cannibal Cop" and any other topics or issues that come to mind on his first 30 minute show. 30 minutes?  Bear with him.
