Ifalade Ta'Shia Asanti, award-winning journalist, author of three books, filmmaker, poet, priestess, activist, cultural educator and TV producer. Ta'Shia has published over 700 articles in her career as a journalist and has conducted interviews with luminaries like Amiri Baraka, Susan Taylor, Sonia Sanchez, Haki Madhubuti and Ramona Africa. In Ta'Shia's debut novel, "The Seer: Legacy of Stone & Spirit," (Motherland Press), she fiercely takes on the issue of human trafficking and the oppression of women liviing in Africa--an issue that has been the focus of her work for over 20 years. In Ta'Shia's second forthcoming novel, The Bones Do Talk, Ta'Shia tackles racism, homophobia and the possibility of peaceful coexistence despite cultural differences.
