Ifalade Ta'Shia Asanti, award-winning journalist, author of three books, filmmaker, poet, priestess, activist, cultural educator and TV producer. Ta'Shia has published over 700 articles in her career as a journalist and has conducted interviews with luminaries like Amiri Baraka, Susan Taylor, Sonia Sanchez, Haki Madhubuti and Ramona Africa. In Ta'Shia's debut novel, "The Seer: Legacy of Stone & Spirit," (Motherland Press), she fiercely takes on the issue of human trafficking and the oppression of women liviing in Africa--an issue that has been the focus of her work for over 20 years.
