Creature comforts in the field. Does it hinder the search?

This week we explore an often over-looked issue that many seem to take for granted. Creature comforts. Has domestication led us to a cushy environment that may make the search for sasquatch even harder than what it is? Or does some of the equipment that we use actually give us a real advantage and permit us to gain as much area knowledge as possible?
