Join Florenza as she interviews two amazing African American male authors during tonight's broadcast: Dr. Owen Watson and Pancho Rucker.

Whenever Dr. Watson is asked about his mission, he says, "I'm seeking to pen my legacy by writing books that positively impact lives." Dr. Owen Watson retired from the U.S. Navy in July 2017 after completing 29 years of faithful service.  He is married to Dr. Ramona, and together they have two children, Aubrian and Audrianna.

Dr. Watson’s philosophy for living an abundant life is to always be willing to turn the page of your current situation as a step toward getting where you wish to be. Dr. Watson is the author of, What Matters Most: Family, Friends, and Foes, Po’ Man Ain’t Got Not Much Say, and Defeating Cancer One Poem a Day.

Poncho Rucker  began his career writing R&B and promoting for local artist. He began to spread his wings and try different fields of creativity. With the main objective of helping people at the forefront of his agenda, Pancho began to test his writing skills in the literary world with his "Note To Self" series.

He continued with two best-selling books, While We're Young and Children's book,

The first of the Bee Bee Book series is Clean Up Bee Bee. Bee Bee and Pinky have made a BIG mess! Help them clean up by counting how many things are on the floor. This book is a labor of love for Pancho's daughter that focuses on colors and counting. 

He created his Children's books to actively help his children learn through an innovative medium. With his book, Chin Up Chest Out, where we join Boogie in his notebook adventure as he finds out all of the things that makes him special. This book focuses on self-confidence. he is proving there is nothing that he can not do.
