Taking down the New World Order requires building a united international front against fascism and war. The hottest frontline of the battle is in beleagured Syria, which needs the support of Soldiers For Peace everywhere. A victory there is a triumph for all of us.

Events in the last 48 hours provide evidence that the global democratic awakening has forced a change of plans of the global economic elite who have been pushing for a US attack on Syria based on a campaign of lies so blatant they make the set up for war in Iraq look sophisticated.

On September 14 we discussed the role of Russia in reestablishing a balance of power that can give us the time we need to convince Obama to get on the right side of history, and whether he is trying to let us know that he is ready.

Regardless of what the President is thinking, it is up to us to convince him that he must act now to free humanity from enslavement by the banks. They  are the ultimate war profiteers and have a death grip on the US and are intent on controlling the wealth of the world. That makes them very dangerous for a President to take on alone.
