Simple English?

Straight from 1984 to you. The George Orwell book gave us terms like the "Ministry of Truth," where history was rewritten to promote the current agenda, and "Newspeak," where the meaning of words could be turned upside-down to the point where nobody could be sure of what anybody was saying. Sound like anything that's going on in the here and now? I think so, and I'll give my thoughts on the subject. Plus more.
