Today we talk about how to start writing ... I tell a story about my experience with Rachel Ballon - a very special teacher of writing at UCLA - who was instrumental in catapulting me in the literary direction I've taken. I talk about Maeve Binchy's book on writing and read excerpts from it as well as from Ballon's "Breathing Life into your Characters" and my novel - "Midnight in Brussels. You'll hear a couple of songs I recorded a few years ago, too. David Manion is the music man, I do the singing. Fun fun.
