The Epistle of Apostle Paul to the Galatians. Hold on to your Christian freedom.

    in Christianity

Key scripture of Galatians id found in Chapter 5 verse 1 which says, "Stand fast in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
Freedom means life. When we were under the bondages of sin, we were unable to experience real life. We were slaves to the addictions of life filled with sin. When Jesus came into our lives we were given an opportunity to be free and live our lives in a new way.  We were no longer bound by sin and the sinful indulgences of the old man. We became new creatures in Christ Jesus. We were adbopted into the family of God. We were give the same rights as God's people Israel.
In the book of Galatians, there were non-Jewish believers that accepted Christ Jesus. They were now made free by the blood of Jesus. However, there were  group of Jewish teachers that insisted that these new converts of Jesus Christ needed to obey Jewish laws and traditional rules. They believed that in order for a person to be saved they had to follow the laws of Moses, including circumcision, the sign of the covenant, in addition to their faith in Christ. Paul attempted to show them that law can't save anyone.
In the Galatians 3:1 it reads, O Foolish Galatians, Who hath bewitched you, that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? This ony would I learn of you. Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law or by the hearing of faith? Are you so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
