André Fauteux is a Canadian artist born in Dunnville, Ontario, Canada on March 15, 1946, who now lives in Toronto, Ontario. Fauteux is a sculptor known for his abstract welded steel sculpture, which relates to Geometric abstraction.

The Fauteux Sculpture exhibition includes pieces from the 1980s to the early 2000s, presenting ten abstract welded sculptures in diverse metals such as brass, galvanized steel, Corten and forged steel. Sections of some sculptures have been dipped in chrome, giving them a high polish, contrasting with other sections left raw, or coated with layers of polychrome colour and iridescent pigments. Fauteux’s sculptures are anchored in formalist abstract theories and constructed sculpture's cubist beginnings in collage.

Andre will be showcasing his career at The Modern.Toronto.
