Eric Jauniaux Professor of Obstetrics at UCL speaks about The Mermaid Retreat

Eric Jauniaux : Non Executive Director

Eric is currently Professor in Obstetrics and Fetal Medicine at University College London. Eric is also a consultant obstetrician at the Portland Hospital for Women & Children, and is one of the leading specialists in his field worldwide. Born in Belgium, Eric is the father of two sons, and is one of the two original founders of the Mermaid Retreat.

Mermaid is in a unique position to carry out front line research on a number of important areas relating to pregnancy and the postnatal period. Under guidance from our Advisory Board Mermaid intends to become a centre of excellence renowned for pioneering work in this area.
