MA voting for 2016 (and any special elections before) will be more complex. As of 11/4/14, we have one new and one revived political party. Evan Falchuk the United Independent Party (UIP) for governor got the requisite 3% of the vote to win official party status from the commonwealth.
He joins us to talk what that means. He spoke with Left Ahead two months ago and addressed his plans for candidates for many offices and a viable thrird party here.
His people have gotten their political designation and now their right to raise funds under the far more generous rules for parties. We'll ask Falchuk who's supporting the IUP and how he expects to shake it up.
