If you and your lodge members picked up brush and pen to develop a concept, what would you include in that architecture?  Would your plan be a short or  long game? Would you include philosophy or poetry? Religion and politics are divisive. What of fraternity, equality and liberty? The ideals of meaning suffer greatly from interpretation.  Would history have a place? If it did, whose history?  Would it assume the history of one is the history of everyone?   And would music have a place?  What music?  Such possibility written down would reveal both capability and limits to our thinking.  Yet faced with these questions, brethren have built something based on a concept that is beyond compare. In our case, the necessary understanding was not given out. It is provided when we are ready to receive it.  Pamphlets have been written and failed because the knowledge comes from within. There are difficult challenges, tests along this journey that prove something about courage and commitment. They are not without risk as we learn from the group of architects.  They did not study a completed building. They learned the geometry and techniques needed to turn design into structure. In our case, the intention was a mind palace. To understand, they look time to study whatever arts and science would produce reliable, transferable proof.  H+S+A> One. There are many histories, many paths to reason. Answers come with the context. We can't help but notice how well studied were the designers. Unlike us, they had no old temples  to look at. We stand and stare, describing what we think is there.  They went from knowledge to masonry.  Allegory and metaphor had meaning.  So was masonry light ahead or behind?  Please if you use your time similarly tell me what you discover. Studying the elements did you find purpose and meaning? Did it change you?
