The second major championship has been completed in golf, with Justin Thomas pulling off a come-from-behind win at the PGA Championship at Tulsa's Southern Hills club. And a quick mea culpa, as I said last Friday on Andrew's show that John Daly would make the cut, while Tiger Woods had a lot of work to do. I was half right, anyuway, as Tiger DID make the cut, while Daly did not. And though he would withdraw after the third round, Tiger still provided some insight into where he is in his recovery from last year's auto accident.

Meanwhile, the second leg of horse racing's Triple Crown began with the knowledge that we would have no Triple Crown winner, while a horse who did not run the Kentucky Derby, Early Voting, took the Preakness with a very smart ride from Jose Ortiz. So we are left wondering what could have been from TWO angles!

We have seen another mass shooting, this time at a Texas elementary school. As of this show framing, 19 children and two adults have died. Like many, I am at a loss as to a solution, between a balance of Second Amendment freedoms while protecting our everyday citizens from such attacks. I know blanket gun control isn't the answer, but it also isn't acceptable to have children--or adults--killed by maniacs. In this case, the 18-year old shooter, who authorities say "acted alone", was killed by law enforcement officers, so it's left to delving into any diaries, social media activity, and insight from those who knew the shooter to get any idea of "motive". As if that will give any answers.
