Bella Mahaya Carter’s quest for health and happiness dragged her kicking and screaming into spiritual adulthood. She adopted a raw vegan diet and later found a new relationship with her own thoughts and soul. Bella will share her personal story of facing fear, releasing perfection, surrendering, and finding validation within for her life and work.

Bella Mahaya Carter is an author, writing teacher, and coach who helps people experience greater freedom and creative expression by pointing them in the direction of their own wisdom. Aspire Magazine selected her memoir, Raw, for its monthly “Top Ten Inspirational Books,” and it won a silver medal in the “Mind, Body, Spirit” category at this year’s Benjamin Franklin Book Awards. Carter just completed her next project, Where Do You Hang Your Hammock? How to Find Freedom and Peace of Mind While You Write, Publish, and Promote Your Book. Carter’s work has appeared in dozens of print and online journals, including The Sun and Mind, Body, Green; on Jane Friedman’s blog; and in several anthologies.
