Tyler was born with Spina Bifida, He was told that he would never be able to walk on his own from this birth defect. He dreamed of accomplishing great things and never considered his disability as an obstacle that would prevent him from doing anything..Tyler then set his sights on trying out for his middle school wrestling team. Most people, his own parents, thought this could be dangerous as their were no other disabled wrestlers for him to compete with. Only able bodied athletes.During this time Tyler made the varsity team 4 out of 6 wrestling seasons, had a winning record at the varsity level, and was named team captain of his high school wrestling team.Tyler wanted to make the most of the off season so he decided to try Brazilian Jiu Jitsu once his wrestling career ended after his freshman year of college, Tyler decided to continue his training in jiu jitsu with the hopes of competing against able bodied athletes. During this time Tyler also found out about the sport of Paralympic powerlifting, Tyler was recently notified that he has been one of the few invited to compete at the 2018 IFBB Olympia. He will be a part of history as this is the first year the Olympia has added the wheelchair division to the worlds most prestigious bodybuilding competition. Tyler is determined to bring his best physique ever as he competes on the Olympia stage along with the best wheelchair bodybuilders in the world.
